Joey had his tonsils out last week. Poor guy has lost 10 lbs. He hasn't been able to talk and he uses hand gestures to answer my questions. Hayden has a little friend, Logan, who is deaf so she asked me if "Daddy was deaf now since he doesn't talk and uses his hands to talk like Logan."

Poor Joey! I've heard tonsil removal as an adult is one of the worst things ever!!!
That's so funny! I love Hayden's comment in primary. I should start writing them down and give them to you!
I'm glad Joey didn't end up being one of Marc's patients for the WREB. His recovery sounds pretty rough!
Hayden is too cute. I think it's so funny what goes through the minds of little kids. I mean, it makes perfect sense considering that her friend who doesn't talk and uses sign language is deaf, but it's still funny.
I'm sorry Joey is so miserable. I had my tonsils out when I was 20, and it was the pits. I lost tons of weight, too. I drank one peach Jamba Juice and about two bottles of liquid Tylenol over the course of a whole week. Unfortunately, I had them out over Christmas break, so when I got back to my normal eating habits (and weight), all the new jeans I'd gotten for Christmas didn't fit anymore!
What a smart girl! :)
